FAQ

answered.
Where is Bartine in The Hague?
Bartine has two locations in Den Haag: Bartine Bakery & Market at Piet Heinstraat 72 (Zeeheldenkwartier) and Café Bartine at Herengracht 11, near the city centre.
What are the opening hours?
Bartine Bakery & Market is open every day from 08:00 to 16:00. Café Bartine opens daily from 09:00 to 16:00. Check the locations page for today’s status, we keep it up to date.
Do you take reservations?
We can usually seat you right away. For groups of five or more, email reservations@bartine.co and we’ll reserve a table at Café Bartine. Smaller groups: just drop by.
Can I pre-order bread or pastries?
Yes. For larger orders (a dozen croissants, several loaves, a brunch spread) email info@bartine.co at least a day ahead and we’ll have it ready at the bakery.
Is the sourdough available every day?
We bake sourdough loaves, baguettes and focaccia every morning at the Bakery & Market. Popular bakes like pain au chocolat and cardamom buns often sell out before closing, so come early.
Do you have vegetarian or vegan options?
Most of the menu is vegetarian. Our sourdough loaf, baguette and focaccia are vegan. Ask the team about allergens, everything is baked in a kitchen that handles nuts, dairy, eggs and gluten.
Can I buy wine to take home?
Yes. The market side of Piet Heinstraat stocks a curated wall of natural, low-intervention wines plus pantry goods, conserves and snacks to take away.
How can I pay?
Card payment only: debit and credit cards, including contactless and phone wallets. We don’t accept cash.
